About Kris
Kris Beuret OBE FCILT FCIHT TPP is a social scientist with a particular interest in transport and urban policy who has pioneered innovative methods of public and stakeholder engagement with a view to encouraging civic decision-making rather than in terms of individual self-interest.
Kris recently amalgamated her company (Social Research Associates) with the Temple Group. She now operates as a freelancer, a visiting lecturer and is frequent contributor to national policy debates via conferences, publications, TV and radio programmes.
Earlier in her career Kris was an academic at American and British Universities and before that a researcher for the American Senate, the House of Commons and the International Finance Corporation.
Kris is involved with a range of external organisations including the Independent Transport Commission (Commissioner), the ITSUK (Chair of Mobility and Inclusion Forum), the Accessibility Association and as a member of the National Highways Research and Innovation Advisory Board. She is also an active member of Living Streets and The Right to Roam.
